Defensive tackle Milton Williams received a $14,069 fine for \u201cunsportsmanlike conduct (prop)\u201d with 9:51 left in the game. Williams incurred the penalty after sacking Patrick Mahomes and celebrating by dunking the football over the field goal post, a move banned by the NFL since 2014.<\/p>\n
Likewise, Kelce was fined the same amount as Williams following a 29-10 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day. After surpassing Tony Gonzalez\u2019s record for most receiving touchdowns in Chiefs history, Kelce marked the occasion with a dunk over the goal post, resulting in a $14,069 fine a week later.<\/p>\n
Additionally, Eagles linebacker Jalyx Hunt was fined $5,690 for \u201cunsportsmanlike conduct (violent gesture)\u201d after bringing down Mahomes with roughly eight minutes remaining in the second quarter. Hunt celebrated the play with a bow and arrow gesture.<\/p>\n
With their Super Bowl LIX loss, the Chiefs missed the chance to achieve the NFL\u2019s first three-peat. Significant changes may be on the horizon for Kansas City, especially with Kelce\u2019s retirement uncertain.<\/p>\n
