Board played the 2022 season with the Lions, appearing in every game and playing a significant role on special teams. He logged 359 snaps on special teams that year, along with 160 snaps as a linebacker for the defense.<\/p>\n
Board is well-regarded for his contributions to special teams, while also getting occasional defensive playtime. He has played every game for three consecutive seasons, including stints with Detroit, New England, and Baltimore. Since entering the league in 2018, he has missed just one game.<\/p>\n
He has accumulated 2,510 special teams snaps, with at least 293 in each season since his career began.<\/p>\n
The Lions have strengthened their linebacker group by re-signing Derrick Barnes to a new three-year deal and retaining Anthony Pittman and Ezekiel Turner. With Alex Anzalone and Jack Campbell already leading the position, the linebacker room is becoming crowded.<\/p>\n
However, there is still space for a depth option or additional special teams help. Pittman and Turner are key players in that area.
