Detroit is gaining from an NFL rule enacted in 2020 that provides two third-round compensatory picks to teams that lose a minority executive to a general manager position and\/or an assistant coach to a head-coaching role. The Lions will also receive a compensatory pick due to Glenn\u2019s exit in 2026.<\/p>\n

The Lions lacked a third-round pick before receiving the compensatory selection because of the trade up for offensive lineman Giovanni Manu with the Jets in last year’s draft.<\/p>\n

The sixth-round selection originates from the 2024 Carlton Davis deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while the seventh-round pick from the Dallas Cowboys comes from the team’s trade to move up for cornerback Terrion Arnold in the first round of last year’s draft.<\/p>\n

The NFL Draft in 2025 is set to occur in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 24 to April 26. The Lions will initially pick at No. 28 overall.<\/p>\n
