Hachimura has become even more crucial for the Lakers after the trade for Luka Doncic at the deadline. The 27-year-old is one of the few two-way players on the team, capable of hitting open shots and defending effectively while offering size and physicality. Since joining the Lakers during the 2022-23 trade deadline, Hachimura has made 40% of his three-pointers, averaging 12.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 27.6 minutes per game.<\/p>\n
Head coach JJ Redick will rely heavily on small-ball lineups for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs, as the Lakers have limited center options aside from Jaxson Hayes.
