Over a month ago, the Rams and quarterback Matthew Stafford reached an agreement on a new 2025 contract.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe sent it to [agent] Jimmy Sexton this week, so I think it\u2019s just semantics,\u201d coach Sean McVay said on PFT Live<\/em> Monday. \u201cI\u2019m not sure if they\u2019ve officially signed it or not. But unless he changes his mind, it\u2019s \u2014 semantically, it\u2019s done.\u201d<\/p>\n McVay noted that once finalized, the contract will reflect the mutual compromise between both parties.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s going to showcase Matthew Stafford\u2019s selflessness and our effort to find common ground,\u201d McVay explained. \u201cWe had tough discussions, but we reached a point where we said, \u2018We love you. We want you here.
