I made this one sometime around 2012, back during the \u201cGolden Age\u201d of Facebook pages \u2014 when fan communities were raw, alive, and full of shared noise. We weren\u2019t just clicking \u201clike.\u201d We were connecting over riffs, solos, lyrics, and legends. And for me, like so many others, one name stood louder than the rest: **Ozzy Osbourne**.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve been listening to Ozzy with Black Sabbath for over 40 years. His voice, that eerie howl echoing through the first chords of \u201cWar Pigs\u201d or \u201cBlack Sabbath,\u201d wasn\u2019t just music \u2014 it was a part of my growing up. A piece of rebellion. A hymn to the lost, the angry, the misunderstood. And when he went solo, I followed. \u201cCrazy Train\u201d hit like a lightning bolt and never left my playlist.<\/p>\n
Ozzy wasn\u2019t just an artist \u2014 he was a part of my life. A backdrop to every high, low, and everything in between. From blasting **\u201cMr. Crowley\u201d** in my room as a teenager to drunken karaoke renditions of **\u201cMama, I\u2019m Coming Home\u201d** with friends who are no longer around\u2026 his music stitched itself into my memories.<\/p>\n
So when the news broke \u2014 that he had passed \u2014 it felt like a giant chunk of my past dimmed.<\/p>\n
But as I sat there, stunned and trying to process it, I thought of something that made me smile through the sadness: **Ozzy is with Randy and Lemmy again**.<\/p>\n
Think about that. Somewhere, in whatever afterlife heavy metal deserves, the trio is together again \u2014 maybe jamming, maybe raising hell, maybe just sitting around telling stories only legends could tell. Randy Rhoads, the prodigy taken too soon. Lemmy Kilmister, the rock ‘n’ roll outlaw with a heart of gold. And Ozzy, the Madman who somehow survived it all\u2026 until now.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s a strange kind of peace in that image.<\/p>\n
Ozzy was never about perfection. He was about chaos. Humanity. Survival. Falling and crawling back again. And if you ever felt like the world didn\u2019t make space for you, Ozzy’s music *did*. That screeching voice, those heavy riffs \u2014 they screamed **for** us, **with** us.<\/p>\n
Even his struggles \u2014 the very public ones \u2014 made him real. Honest. We didn\u2019t love Ozzy *despite* his madness. We loved him *because* of it.<\/p>\n
And now he\u2019s gone.<\/p>\n
But as long as there are speakers, as long as someone\u2019s flipping a Sabbath record or pressing play on a playlist, **he\u2019s not really gone at all**.<\/p>\n
So tonight, I\u2019ll pour one out. I\u2019ll crank up **\u201cNo More Tears\u201d**, and I\u2019ll close my eyes and imagine that thunderous voice belting across the stars.<\/p>\n
Rest easy, Ozzy.<\/p>\n
You gave us the soundtrack to our rage, our healing, our lives.<\/p>\n
And now \u2014 may you finally find peace.<\/p>\n
