The house was too silent now. No raspy laughter ricocheted off the stone walls, no distant muttering of lyrics mid-melody, no stomping boots or echoing curses. Just the ticking of an old wall clock \u2014 one Ozzy had always threatened to smash but never did. Sharon sat there in the library, the air thick with the scent of leather and whiskey and something older \u2014 grief. She was wrapped in his favorite jacket, the one he\u2019d worn on that last tour, with its sleeves frayed and scent still his.<\/p>\n

Sharon collapsed into his arms, her sobs no longer silent.<\/p>\n
Outside, the wind picked up through the hedges, howling softly. Somewhere above them, the sky shifted, as if listening.<\/p>\n
And in that quiet corner of the estate, where grief had settled like dust, something lifted. Not the pain. That would stay. But the silence cracked \u2014 just a little \u2014 letting something else in.<\/p>\n
