Bronny James Sends Social Media Into a Frenzy During Lakers-Jazz Game

Bronny James Took Over Social Media During Lakers-Jazz Match

After sitting out two straight games due to a forearm injury, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James, son of LeBron James, returned to action on Wednesday night.

Riding a six-game win streak, the Lakers faced the Utah Jazz for the second time in three days while gradually integrating Luka Doncic. However, this time, Los Angeles seemed to be looking ahead to the All-Star break, falling 131-119.

This was Doncic’s second game with the Lakers and the first with Bronny available. The former USC Trojans guard delivered what could be considered the best play of his young NBA career.

With under 20 seconds left and the game already decided, Bronny got the ball at the top of the key, guarded by Jazz forward Kyle Filipowski. After some slick dribbling, he sank a stepback three-pointer over Filipowski, igniting a big reaction from the crowd.

NBA fans were thrilled by Bronny’s highlight over another rookie, taking to social media to share their reactions.

“Bronny proving he’s the baby goat,” one fan commented.

“The kid has real skills; it’ll be exciting to see his growth,” another said.

“Bronny really got that move in his bag?!” a third fan questioned.

“Fantastic stepback from Bronny,” added another.

“Bronny James made his defender look bad in garbage time,” posted a fifth.

“Bronny just cooked him,” a sixth fan wrote.

In eight minutes of play (all during garbage time), Bronny put up a career-high nine points, shooting 3-of-4 from the field, 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, and adding one assist. Doncic, in his second Lakers game, contributed 16 points.

Los Angeles enters the All-Star break with a 32-20 record, placing them 5th in the Western Conference. They will take on LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets when they return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
