Isaah Yeo Shines at Penrith Awards Night, as Panthers Celebrate Stellar Season
Penrith Panthers players traded their party attire for a more formal look, donning suits and ties for the club’s end-of-season presentation night. The evening was a celebration of individual and team achievements, with co-captain Isaah Yeo taking the spotlight as the night’s biggest winner.
Yeo was crowned the 2024 Merv Cartwright Medallist, Penrith’s Player of the Year, marking the third time he has claimed this prestigious award, having previously won it in 2018 and 2023. His consistent leadership and performances saw him not only claim the top honor but also take home the MKJ Projects Members Player of the Year award, a testament to his popularity among fans and teammates alike.
Another standout of the evening was Mitch Kenny, who received the John Farragher Award for Courage and Determination. This award recognizes Kenny’s resilience and unwavering commitment to the Panthers throughout the season.
In other key awards, fullback Dylan Edwards took home the OAK Plus Try of the Year, highlighting his explosive contributions on the field. Meanwhile, forward Matt Eisenhuth was named Club Person of the Year, an acknowledgment of his selfless contributions to the club beyond his on-field efforts.
The younger talent within the Panthers’ ranks was also celebrated, with Liam Henry named the Ben Alexander Rookie of the Year, and Nick Murphy receiving the Jersey Flegg Player of the Year accolade. Luke Garner and Lachlan Blackburn were recognized for their academic achievements, receiving the Senior and Junior Education Awards, respectively. Isiah Iongi rounded off the night by claiming the NSW Cup Player of the Year award.
