Christian McCaffrey, a great ball carrier for the San Francisco 49ers, has not played this season. McCaffrey has spent the entire season battling an Achilles ailment. Because of this, the 49ers have relied on Jordan Mason from the start. Mason, though, is presently coping with his own shoulder ailment. Prior to their game against the Dallas Cowboys, the squad was given updates on both players on Friday.

Mason hasn’t participated much in practice this week. But according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, he is anticipated to play against the Cowboys. The McCaffrey update is the more unexpected one. According to Rapoport’s Friday report, he might be prepared to make a comeback sooner rather than later.  Jordan Mason may be the bellcow for the final time in this game. There is a bye for the 49ers. It’s time for Christian McCaffrey to get some practice. While on high Morning Football, Rapoport stated, “There’s a very good chance that McCaffrey is on the field for the 49ers’ next game on November 10th.”

The 49ers’ offence has performed well in the absence of Christian McCaffrey.

In February, Christian McCaffrey and the 49ers advanced to the Super Bowl before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime. Without a doubt, San Francisco wanted to compete for the Super Bowl this year. However, without McCaffrey playing, their chances of winning the Super Bowl have significantly decreased.

The 49ers defeated the New York Jets 32-19 in Week 1 after a strong start. However, the team fell two consecutive as cracks appeared. In Week 4, the 49ers did defeat the New England Patriots. Sadly, since that victory, they have dropped two of their last three games.

Mason has performed admirably thus far as the starting running back. In seven games, he has rushed for 667 yards and three touchdowns while carrying the ball 128 times. ESPN reports that he is averaging slightly over 95 yards a game and 5.2 yards to carry. The only player in the NFL with more rushing yards than Mason is Derrick Henry of the Baltimore Ravens. San Francisco’s offence has also stayed potent all around. According to ESPN, they have actually gained the second-most overall yards this season. This season, they are among the six teams that have ran for 1000 yards or more. The 49ers undoubtedly want McCaffrey back in the fold based on this statement. When McCaffrey is healthy and carries the ball, the offence is more dynamic. As San Francisco gets ready for a game against the Cowboys on Sunday night, these recent rumours are great news.
