Commanders Release Four-Word Message Ahead of Lions Matchup

The No. 6 seed Washington Commanders faced the No. 3 seed Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an NFC Wild Card game Sunday night, aiming to secure their first playoff victory since 2005.

The game was a nail-biter, tied at 10 by halftime and remaining close throughout.

In the final moments, Zane Gonzalez delivered a 37-yard field goal, sealing a dramatic 23-20 win for Washington.

Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels

, a Pro Bowl selection in his debut season, showcased his talent.

Daniels completed 24 of 35 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns. He also contributed 36 rushing yards on 13 attempts, solidifying his impact on the game.

Following the victory, the Commanders’ social media team posted a four-word statement: “Next stop: Motor City,” as they prepare to take on the No. 1 seed Detroit Lions in the NFC Divisional Round.

Washington and Detroit did not meet during the regular season, but both teams boast explosive offenses.

The Commanders rank fifth in points per game (28.5), while the Lions lead the league with 33.2 points per game.

The upcoming matchup promises excitement as Washington looks to continue their playoff journey against the top-seeded Lions in Detroit.
