The Detroit Lions had a remarkable regular season in 2024.
They shared the top record in the league and boasted one of the most effective offenses in NFL history.
Consequently, this year’s Pro Bowl will feature many players from the Lions, as seven secured positions on the starting NFC roster.
Now there is another Lions player who has secured a position in the game.
On January 27, the Lions revealed that left tackle Taylor Decker would be added to this year’s Pro Bowl lineup for the NFC.
This will mark Decker’s inaugural appearance in the Pro Bowl.
Regrettably, it affects fellow Lions player Penei Sewell, who will be unable to participate due to an injury.
Decker’s selection to the Pro Bowl is yet another highlight for the Lions offensive line, which has been among the top in the league in recent years and is arguably the team’s greatest asset.
The unit currently includes three members who received Pro Bowl selections this season, along with a fourth member who has participated in a Pro Bowl before.
Sewell isn’t the sole player on the Lions who will be absent from the Pro Bowl after securing a position.
It was additionally revealed that Malik Nabers would take the place of Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown in the occasion.
Despite the injuries to two of the team’s top stars, there will still be many Lions to observe in this year’s Pro Bowl.
