BYU Football Welcomes Jordyn Criss to 2025 Recruiting Class

BYU Adds Jordyn Criss as Late Addition to 2025 Recruiting Class

BYU football bolstered its 2025 recruiting class with the commitment of cornerback Jordyn Criss from Arlington, Texas. Criss, standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 165 pounds, selected BYU over offers from Texas State, Bowling Green, Southern Utah, and other FCS schools. His addition reflects BYU’s focus on adding talent ahead of Signing Day on February 5.

Criss emerged as a key target for BYU earlier this month, prompting the program to arrange an official visit immediately. During his visit, Criss attended a BYU men’s basketball game against Cincinnati, sitting in the front row of the student section, “The ROC.” On Sunday, he announced his decision to join BYU on X, writing, “IM HOME.”

Known for his athleticism, Criss fits the profile of cornerbacks who have excelled at BYU in recent years. His track and field background, including a 10.83-second 100-meter time last April, adds to his impressive resume. His physical attributes and speed make him a promising prospect for BYU’s defensive secondary.

Criss joins a recruiting class that is steadily growing in quality and depth. BYU has already secured commitments from 22 players in the 2025 class, with 18 of those athletes signing during the early signing period in December. The program aims to finalize the rest of the class by the February signing window.

With the addition of Criss, BYU continues to solidify its future roster under head coach Kalani Sitake. The Cougars’ active recruiting efforts showcase their dedication to building a competitive team as they prepare for upcoming seasons in the Big 12 Conference.
