Glenn is stepping in to lead a Jets team that just finished a 5-12 season and has numerous issues to tackle in the upcoming months, with the future of Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers being the highest priority.

Glenn kicked things off positively with a message demonstrating his enthusiasm for taking charge in New York.

“Fasten your seat belts and prepare for the journey,” Glenn stated. “Pay attention, there will be a few difficulties ahead.” However, challenges bring opportunities. But here’s what I understand: We’re the damn New York Jets and we’re made for this stuff.”

Regarding player accountability, Glenn clarified his approach from the very beginning.

“In my view, accountability cannot exist without responsibility,” he stated. “Therefore, my role is to ensure, what exactly is your duty?” Once they grasp that, they realize they must take responsibility for it. Therefore, I’m not the person who needs to inform them that you are incorrect. They are aware of it.

“Therefore, we established that benchmark from the beginning, and players seek that,” Glenn stated. “They’ve acted that way since their college days.” They have been organized. Therefore, it’s my responsibility to establish that framework, and once established, I ensure they are accountable for it and that they grasp it.

Glenn ensured to acknowledge Lions head coach Dan Campbell and referenced his time with Detroit as a model for his approach in New York.

“Dan Campbell, remarkable individual,” Glenn stated. “Traveling to Detroit with Dan, we found ourselves at the lowest point…” But do you know what we accomplished? We brought it to the summit. In my last nine years, there’s one thing I’ve accomplished: leading a team to the top, achieving the peak, and maintaining that success. “And that’s what we’ll introduce to this team.”

Considering the Jets’ disappointing franchise history, the odds are clearly against Glenn transforming New York into a successful team. However, due to his experience with the Lions, he knows what must be done to accomplish it.
