Highlights of South Carolina Gamecocks’ 2025 Football Recruiting Class

As of January 30, 2025, South Carolina’s 2025 football recruiting class is ranked 20th nationally and 12th in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. With 26 commitments, the Gamecocks are focusing on enhancing their competitiveness in the coming seasons by securing top-tier talent, particularly from within the state.

Notable Commitments:

  • Donovan Murph: A four-star wide receiver from Irmo High School in Columbia, South Carolina. Murph reclassified from the 2026 class to 2025 and chose South Carolina over offers from Clemson, Colorado, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. In his high school career, he racked up 153 catches, 2,412 yards, and 29 touchdowns over two seasons.
  • Malik Clark: A four-star wide receiver from Rock Hill High School, South Carolina. Clark, standing 6’2″ and weighing 170 pounds, had an impressive senior year with 68 receptions for 976 yards and 10 touchdowns. He earned all-state honors and played in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. Originally committed to Florida State, Clark switched his commitment to South Carolina in October 2024.
  • Lex Cyrus: A four-star wide receiver from Susquehanna Township High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Known for his speed and agility, Cyrus had a stellar junior season with 67 receptions, 1,115 yards, and 13 touchdowns. He ranked as the 35th wide receiver in the nation and the 7th best prospect in Pennsylvania for the 2025 class.
  • Brian Rowe Jr.: A four-star wide receiver from Jay M. Robinson High School in Concord, North Carolina. Rowe, who stands 6 feet and weighs 155 pounds, was a key contributor to his high school team with 50 catches for 1,063 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also had three punt return touchdowns and contributed defensively. Rowe committed to South Carolina in October 2024.
  • Jordon Gidron: A wide receiver from Ridge View High School in Columbia, South Carolina. Gidron, 6’2″ and 185 pounds, showcased his skills with 45 receptions for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns in his junior year.
  • Jayden Sellers: A wide receiver from South Florence High School, South Carolina. Sellers, standing 5’11” and weighing 175 pounds, was a key player in his team’s AAAA state championship, catching 39 passes for 827 yards and 12 touchdowns as a sophomore. He continued to excel in his junior year, recording 59 receptions for 880 yards and 14 touchdowns. Sellers committed to South Carolina in October 2023, joining his older brother, quarterback LaNorris Sellers.
  • Damola Ajidahun: An offensive lineman from Duluth, Georgia, who flipped from Georgia Tech to South Carolina. Born in England and moving to the U.S. in fifth grade, Ajidahun had a productive 2023 season with 17 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 13 assists.
  • Anthony Addison: An edge rusher from Sumter High School, South Carolina. Addison, standing 6’4″ and weighing 215 pounds, had a standout high school career with 99 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks in his senior year. He committed to South Carolina in April 2024 and signed in December 2024. Addison is ranked as a three-star prospect and 12th in the state for the 2025 class.

This recruiting class underscores head coach Shane Beamer’s focus on strengthening the roster with a mix of promising in-state talent and valuable out-of-state additions.
