verified that an effort has been initiated to attempt to revoke Barcelona player Dani Olmo’s provisional registration.

In January, Barca received an injunction from the Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD) to temporarily register both Olmo and Pau Victor while awaiting a final resolution on the matter.

Tebas has explicitly stated his disagreement with the situation and now mentions that La Liga is aiming to have Olmo’s registration revoked.

“Government involvement does not create a positive impression.” However, we have operated in accordance with the principles of both fair play and the federation’s regulations. The CSD resolution indicates a lack of understanding regarding the process of issuing licenses. “There’s an automated procedure,” he said to El Pais.

“Regarding the Olmo situation, on December 31st, Barça informed us: ‘We lack Fair Play’.” They subsequently attempted to refresh Olmo’s registration. We informed them that we are unable to update it, since it lacks the authorization for registration.

“On January 3, they played fairly, but then: no, it’s not possible because this player was already deregistered on the 31st and cannot receive a new license.”

“What is the role of the monitoring committee?” Examine the current circumstances, as Barça had submitted a written request, but the license had previously been declined. That’s all…

“We have submitted an appeal to the CSD.” We have sought a precautionary action to have Olmo removed from the register… A protective action to revoke the earlier protective action.

The next developments in the registration saga remain uncertain. Barca continues to await a conclusive decision from the CSD, expected by April 7 at the latest.
