Michael Jordan’s son taken into custody in Florida

Marcus Jordan, the 34-year-old son of NBA icon Michael Jordan, was taken into custody in Florida earlier this week on multiple charges, including DUI, property damage, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest without violence.

The arrest occurred on Tuesday in Maitland, Florida, following a traffic stop by law enforcement officers.

According to jail records obtained by FOX 35 News, Marcus Jordan was initially flagged by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office during a routine traffic stop.

However, Jordan allegedly fled the scene before being caught by Maitland Police. Officers noted the smell of alcohol emanating from Jordan’s vehicle, and further observations revealed his slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.

Jordan reportedly told officers that he had made a wrong turn and needed help getting his car off the tracks. When officers ordered him to exit the car, Jordan refused, only complying after receiving instructions from authorities.

After undergoing several sobriety tests, police arrested Marcus Jordan on suspicion of DUI. The arresting officers also mentioned his non-compliance when being escorted to the patrol car, as Jordan allegedly resisted getting into the vehicle.

The arrest has attracted attention due to Marcus Jordan’s high-profile family connections. As the son of one of the greatest basketball players of all time, Michael Jordan, Marcus has been in the public spotlight for years. This incident represents a concerning chapter in his personal life, adding to his legal challenges and public scrutiny.

Jordan also faces charges related to cocaine possession, though details about this aspect remain scarce. The investigation is ongoing, and Marcus Jordan has not yet made any public remarks regarding his arrest.

This event has generated significant media attention, and many are awaiting further updates on his legal proceedings.
