Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has finally disclosed his choice for the winner of the 2024 Heisman Trophy. He also enjoyed an excellent college career, claiming the Heisman in 2019. As a result, he was among the 57 voters who selected the recipient of the prestigious trophy for the 2024 season.

Burrow appeared on Thursday’s edition of the “Dan Patrick Show” and was asked about his Heisman vote for 2024. The four contenders for the 2024 season were Travis Hunter from Colorado, Ashton Jeanty from Boise State, Dillon Gabriel from Oregon, and Cam Ward from Miami.

“Travis Hunter. I voted for Travis Hunter,” Burrow said

The Colorado dual-threat star captured the Heisman following an outstanding season. He garnered 552 first-place votes and a total of 2,231 points, making him the 90th recipient of the prestigious award. Hunter also received the Walter Camp Award, the Bednarik Award, and the Biletnikoff Award.

He logged 1,258 yards and 15 receiving touchdowns as a wide receiver, along with 36 total tackles, four interceptions, and 11 defended passes on defense as a cornerback. He is Colorado’s first Heisman victor since Rashaan Salaam in 1994. Travis Hunter is currently anticipated to be a top-three selection in the upcoming NFL draft in April.

In the 2019 season, Joe Burrow secured the Heisman Trophy while playing for the LSU Tigers. Burrow played for Ohio State for three seasons prior to joining the Tigers in 2018. He guided them to the national championship in 2019 with a flawless 15-0 record.

Burrow recorded 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns in that season. He garnered a historic 841 first-place votes and 2,608 points to be named the top college football player. Burrow was subsequently selected as the first overall choice in the 2020 NFL draft by the Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Burrow delivers a crucial message to college football athletes navigating the NIL environment.

The existing transfer regulations and NIL situations are not the same as when Burrow chose to alter his destiny by leaving Ohio State to join LSU. During Thursday’s episode, he offered some quite clear recommendations for athletes navigating the present NIL environment.

Joe Burrow also mentioned that he would have decided to depart from the Buckeyes much sooner. However, it required time since non-graduate transfers needed to miss a season before playing on the field.

I probably would have transferred much earlier than I did. But I had to graduate to go and play,” Burrow said. “At the time, the transfer portal wasn’t a thing. I think it became a thing the next year after I transferred, but I still think you had to sit out a year

“If you’re going to be able to make seven figures in college, you got to go take advantage of that. If you’re in high school and getting offered that, go wherever they are paying out the most

Joe Burrow’s choice to join the LSU Tigers proved to be the greatest decision of his life. He is now among the top-earning quarterbacks in the NFL and has made the Pro Bowl twice in just five seasons.
