Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving has been selected by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to take the place of injured Mavericks forward-center Anthony Davis on Team Shaq for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.
This marks Irving’s ninth NBA All-Star selection, as he averages 24.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, shooting 47.5% from the field, 40.7% from beyond the arc, and 90.1% from the free throw line over 42 games this season.
Davis cannot take part in the NBA All-Star Game due to a strain in his left adductor. The 10-time NBA All-Star was selected for Team Shaq by its general manager, TNT analyst Shaquille O’Neal.
