Giants Trade for Stafford ‘No Way In Hell’ with Pick

Is a Matthew Stafford trade to the New York Giants possible this offseason?

That possibility seems to be growing stronger as we approach the start of the new league year.

What would the Giants be willing to pay? They’re aiming high.

Stafford had a productive season with the Los Angeles Rams, passing for 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, helping lead Los Angeles to an unexpected postseason run.

While some fans believe the Rams should keep their core intact, the team has already revealed plans to trade Cooper Kupp.

The Rams may also be growing weary of paying Stafford’s hefty contract.

Sports Illustrated recently claimed that the Giants have a roster capable of supporting Stafford, which is a questionable statement.

Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd suggests that the Rams would expect the No. 3 overall pick in the NFL Draft for the veteran quarterback.

That feels like a steep price, and it seems Giants GM Joe Schoen is working to make that clear…

By enlisting ESPN’s Adam Schefter to deliver the message.

Schefter has firmly reported that the No. 3 pick won’t be involved in any potential trade between the Giants and Rams.

“Let me make it very clear: That pick is not part of the conversation if Matthew Stafford and the Rams can’t work out a deal, and if Stafford becomes available and the Giants emerge as a contender,” Schefter stated.

Got it, Adam. The Giants had you send out their message. Understood.

“If all these things happen – and they might – if all these things happen,” Schefter continued, nervously adding a curse word for emphasis.

Stafford’s compensation and his cap hit of $49.6 million for the 2025 season raise concerns. Both teams would need to work out those details.

But it’s clear that New York wants both Stafford and the talent tied to the No. 3 pick. And if that wasn’t obvious enough, the Giants made sure Adam Schefter shared it with the world… adding a curse word for good measure.
