“Philadelphia Star Player Provides Major Injury Update: ‘Feels Like (Bleep)'”

‘Feels Like (Bleep)’: Eagles Star Provides Major Injury Update

When the Philadelphia Eagles selected Landon Dickerson, they expected a dominant and resilient player to bolster their offensive line.

What they didn’t fully grasp at the time was just how tough and strong the Alabama standout truly is. Their journey to Super Bowl LIX made that abundantly clear.

Dickerson sustained a knee injury during the team’s 55-23 NFC Championship victory over the Washington Commanders. He suffered the injury while playing center in place of Cam Jurgens, who was sidelined in the first half due to a back issue.

While many players would have struggled to complete even a single series, Dickerson powered through the first half—and kept going despite his injury during their Super Bowl win on Sunday.

“It feels like (expletive) if I’m being honest,” Dickerson admitted. “You have to push past that so it doesn’t affect you. It’s not supposed to feel good, but when you reach this stage, it’s all worth it.

“I’ve dealt with plenty of injuries, had multiple surgeries, but I love football too much to let one minor injury stop me.”

Dickerson has always proven his toughness. He tore his ACL in his final college season but still managed to take a snap in the National Championship game.

Years later, he played a crucial role in the Eagles’ Super Bowl triumph and continued to earn the admiration of his teammates.

“Knowing Landon these past couple of years, I’m not shocked,” left tackle Jordan Mailata said. “Seeing his work ethic, his determination, and his will to play—it’s incredible.

“It shows me that no matter what he’s dealing with, he’s going to be there for me.”

Dickerson is expected to undergo knee surgery this offseason, making his availability for the start of the 2025 season uncertain.

However, given his resilience, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him ready to play right away.
