Random Ramsdom: Could L.A. Pursue Zack Baun?
Could the Los Angeles Rams target Zack Baun if the Philadelphia Eagles decide not to bring him back? It’s a fair question to consider, so let’s explore it! Baun had a phenomenal season and may have been as impactful a signing for the Eagles as Saquon Barkley. That might seem like a stretch, but given his production and overall value, Baun truly delivered.
Given his impressive performance, Baun may use it to secure a lucrative contract. Should the Rams be among the teams willing to pay up? I’m uncertain, but I’d love to hear your thoughts!

The Rams have a noticeable gap at linebacker, but they do have multiple avenues to address the issue.
“Rolfe highlighted that while the Rams need to fill a major hole at linebacker this offseason, they have various solid options available. However, one particular player seems to fit their needs best. Rolfe suggests that Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Zack Baun could be a prime candidate for L.A.
“If Baun enters free agency this offseason, multiple teams will likely show interest. The real question will be how teams weigh his exceptional year with the Eagles against the fact that it was his first full season as a starter. In terms of raw production, Baun stands out as the best available linebacker, though more established players are also in the mix,” Rolfe noted.”
Rams WR Receives Unexpected Contract Projection (si.com)
“Robinson is an intriguing case, given his significant role in the Rams’ late-season push and his most productive NFL campaign to date.
Yet, ESPN’s Bill Barnwell does not expect Robinson to command a substantial contract in free agency, instead predicting a cost-effective short-term deal.
“If the Rams move on from Kupp, they could justify bringing Robinson back on a one-year deal around the $4 million he earned last season. However, it’s fair to say they might find a better option than the 30-year-old if they explore the market,” Barnwell wrote.”
Rams Insider Analyzes Price as Matthew Stafford Trade Rumors Swirl (heavy.com)
“Meanwhile, The Athletic’s Jourdan Rodrigue and Dan Duggan suggest that the No. 34 pick—also owned by the Giants—could be a more realistic return.
“In a Stafford trade scenario, securing a high enough draft pick to move up for a premier receiver or offensive lineman, or accumulating enough picks to address multiple needs, would be worth considering,” Rodrigue wrote on February 20. “I’m focusing less on the appealing No. 3 overall pick and more on No. 34 (plus additional assets) … but you’ve got to at least ask, right?!”
Random Ramsdom Fandom: My Latest Rams Draft… with Trades (By JeffinBranson, Feb 18, 2025)
“This is my latest Rams mock draft. I traded into the second round, added a third, then traded down slightly to acquire extra picks in the fifth and sixth rounds. I feel like I addressed all key needs for a well-rounded roster. While I can’t predict who will still be available early on, I selected players I believe best fit the team when it was our turn. I added two tall, fast receivers, two running backs (allowing us to cut Rivers and Schroeder), a dynamic pass-catching tight end, our potential future QB, a starting-caliber corner, a dominant run-stuffer at nose tackle, and a reliable left tackle. This might be my best draft yet.
Of course, some of you might completely disagree!

Offensive Approach:
Instead of drafting a QB in 2025, the Rams opt to rely on veteran signal-callers and plan to target a top young QB in the 2026 draft. This year’s focus is on building an elite run game with two-tight-end sets. Mason Taylor is a strong blocker with reliable hands, while Jack Bech provides a mix of blocking and receiving skills. Savion Williams is a versatile weapon who can line up at WR, RB, or even QB for gadget plays. The Henderson-Martinez backfield duo offers a mix of speed and power, while Jake Majors, one of the top centers in the class, bolsters pass protection. Cameron Williams and Charles Grant can serve as depth at tackle before competing for a starting role in 2026.
Defensive Strategy:
With two cornerbacks, two linebackers, and two defensive tackles, the Rams address key gaps on defense. The addition of CB Carlton Davis and the re-signing of OLB Michael Hoecht provide further stability. Some prospects may see their stock shift after the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine, but these selections seem like good fits.
That’s my breakdown! Let me know your thoughts in the comments. What changes would you make? Thanks, and as always—GO RAMS!”
