Henderson, Grant, and Williams Eye Return Against Lakers
Three Blazers Nearing Comeback After All-Star Break.
The All-Star break proved beneficial for the Portland Trail Blazers, with three key rotation players “hopeful” to return to action. Coach Chauncey Billups informed the media today that Scoot Henderson, Jerami Grant, and Robert Williams III might be ready to play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.
Billups shared that Henderson, Grant, and Williams were all full participants in today’s practice. He’s optimistic that all three will be available for Thursday’s game, provided they get through tomorrow’s practice without issues.
Henderson missed the final game before the break against the Denver Nuggets due to a right ankle sprain, while Grant and Williams both sat out the Nuggets’ games with right knee soreness.
Deandre Ayton continues to recover from a left calf strain and remains out, while defensive wing Matisse Thybulle is still sidelined with a right ankle sprain, having yet to play this season.
The Blazers will face Luka Doncic and the Lakers at the Moda Center on Thursdayat 7 p.m.
