Lamont Butler set to play in Kentucky’s first NCAA Tournament game.
There is another update about Lamont Butler returning to the Kentucky Wildcats for the NCAA Tournament.
This new information comes from CBS reporter Jon Rothstein, who reports that Butler will be ready for Kentucky’s first game in the Big Dance.
Butler is recovering from an injury sustained during Thursday’s victory over the Oklahoma Sooners. Mark Pope has since disclosed that this is a fresh injury and that Butler is expected to be available for the NCAA Tournament.
At the time of the injury, it seemed like a re-injury of Butler’s previous shoulder issue, which caused him to miss time for over a month. While the exact nature of this new injury remains unclear, it does not appear to be severe enough to keep him out of Kentucky’s NCAA Tournament opener.
