Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson has made a bold call heading into the NRL finals, and now all eyes are on whether the gamble will pay off.
After securing a top-four finish, Robinson chose to rest a number of his biggest stars in the final regular-season round, including James Tedesco, Daly Cherry-Evans, Reece Robson and Mark Nawaqanitawase.
The decision came with plenty of attention because the Roosters were involved in a huge clash against South Sydney. With so many experienced players missing, the Roosters were beaten 50–20 by the Rabbitohs.
