In an interview conducted during the 2024 NFL season, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff expressed that he considers his life after playing “quite a bit” before discussing his potential future plans.
“Whenever I eventually finish, regardless of how many years away that may be, will I feel exhausted or desire more?” he shared with the Detroit Free Press. “I’m uncertain.” I’ve always expressed my desire to assist a friend who is a coach, specifically a head coach. “Hi, in what way can I assist?” I’m not implying that it’s about coaching quarterbacks or any specific sport, but rather asking, “Is there anything I can assist you with?”
“…If I coach my child in high school, that would definitely be enjoyable.” Certainly! If I ever know a guy who’s a head coach somewhere and can help in any way, I’m sure it would be enjoyable. It could be a distant position, but it relies on its location.
Although Goff’s NFL career isn’t completely over, he’s already planning his future steps. On Friday afternoon, it was announced that he is part of an investor group working to establish a WNBA team in Detroit.
“I’m excited to be part of this motivating group of leaders as we strive to establish a WNBA team in Detroit!” “This is an amazing chance for our lively community and the most dedicated fans in the nation!” he stated in a message on his Instagram story.
His spouse, Christen, is also involved in the bid and expressed her reaction to the news with a “LetsBringIt” hashtag and a blue heart.
At just 30 years old, Goff has a lot of football left in his career, but he’s beginning to consider what’s next.
