The Detroit Lions had 11 players, coaches, and former coordinators nominated in various categories for this year’s NFL Awards. This impressive representation highlights their record-setting regular season.

All awards were decided by 50 NFL writers, who voted based on the players’ and coaches’ performances during the 2024-25 regular season. Voters ranked five individuals per award, assigning points from first to fifth place: 10 points for first, five for second, and so on.

Assistant Coach of the Year: Lions OC Ben Johnson

As reported by the Associated Press, Johnson becomes the sixth Assistant Coach of the Year to later become a head coach in the same offseason, joining names like DeMeco Ryans (2022) and Kyle Shanahan (2016).
