Former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Hurts guided the Philadelphia Eagles to a commanding 40-22 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. This follows the quarterback and the Eagles’ defeat against Kansas City in the Super Bowl two years back.

It’s also a comfort for Hurts, who experienced defeat in the national championship in 2016 before claiming victory the following year, although he was sidelined during the win. Although Hurts was named MVP of Super Bowl LIX, he insists he remains the same person who lost in the national championship years prior

“I will forever remain the same person,” Hurts stated. “I was sharing with someone that I’m the same kid who arrived at a national championship and lost, returned, got benched, had to transfer, and underwent this unique journey.” That child consistently prioritized what mattered most and stayed faithful to his vision of what he envisioned. It started with improved leadership and executing it correctly.

Hurts delivered one of the finest performances of his career during the Super Bowl. He passed for 221 yards, achieved two touchdowns and one interception, while also running for 72 yards and scoring a touchdown.

Jalen Hurts was awarded Super Bowl MVP following the Eagles’ victory against the Chiefs on Sunday. Hurts was impressive, but he acknowledged his teammates for the honor.

“God is great — whether in the peaks or the valleys,” Hurts stated while accepting the Pete Rozelle Trophy, according to NFL.com. “Couldn’t be present here without my teammates.” The commitment and dedication everyone showed to reach this stage.

Prior to being selected by Philadelphia, Hurts played for three years at Alabama and then completed his last year at Oklahoma.

During his three years at Alabama, Hurts passed for 5,626 yards, achieving 48 touchdown throws and 12 interceptions. During his solitary season at Oklahoma, he passed for 3,851 yards, 32 scores, and eight picks.
